Chapters have been working with Riley County Health Department and are asked to follow all local guidance. This includes applying for permits for events over 50 members, wearing face masks in shared spaces on and off campus, following quarantine and isolation procedures, and participating in contact tracing. Chapters are updated as guidance evolves and changes through weekly emails to all stakeholders. The health and safety of the student members as well as the volunteers who advise, work with and feed them are a top priority. We encourage everyone in our community to communicate and address issues of the pandemic swiftly and directly.
Recently, 13 Covid-19 cases were confirmed at the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at 1545 Denison Ave., Manhattan, Kan. The organization followed its protocol when a member tested positive, contacts were traced, tests were done, and they reported it appropriately to local health officials. We are glad the chapter leadership followed through with their protocols.
